Dr. Adam Meade

Lab Supervisor

Dr. Adam Meade is a full professor of psychology and coordinator of the Industrial-Organizational Psychology Ph.D. program at NC State University. A Fellow of SIOP and APS, he is internationally recognized for his expertise in psychometrics and workplace assessment. Dr. Meade’s research focuses on quantitative methods and innovative psychological measurement.

In 2022, Dr. Meade received two awards from the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychologists: The Joyce & Robert Hogan Award for Personality & Work Performance and The Jeanneret Award for Excellence in the Study of Individual or Group Assessment. These were awarded for the development of the Rapid Response measurement (RRM), a faking resistant form of assessment developed by Dr. Meade, Phillip Braddy, John Fleenor and Gabriel Pappalardo.

Dr. Meade’s work, cited over 14,000 times, includes one of the most influential APA publications from 2011-2021. As founder of the NC State Psychometrics Lab and co-founder of PerSight Assessments, Dr. Meade combines cutting-edge technology with rigorous methodology to tackle real-world organizational challenges.

Luke Priest

Lab Manager & Ph.D. Student

Luke functions as the lab manager for the Psychometrics lab and is a 6th year Ph.D. student. Luke’s research primarily focuses on unethical behavior in the workplace. His research focuses on dark triad personality, counterproductive work behaviors, destructive leadership and more. Luke has also been involved in the development of faking-resistant survey tools.

Cory Moore

Ph.D. Student

Cory is wrapping up his Ph.D. in I/O Psychology. He primarily has experience in statistics and data analysis. Cory interests are geared primarily towards the data science end of things. Currently, he is working along side Dr. Meade on a careless response Meta-analyses. Cory is also involved in research on OCB’s and abusive supervision. He is currently working as a data scientist at HireVu.

Quintin Kidder

Ph.D.

Quintin’s is an alum from our program. His research focuses on the interplay between expectancy theory, motivation, and counterproductive work behaviors. Quin worked as a consultant at Horizon Performance. Until his recent announcement that he intends to bring his I/O experience to the United States Navy as he takes on the pursues the role of Aerospace Experimental Researcher.

James Peters

Ph.D. Student

James’ has worked on projects involving the interplay between organizational citizenship behaviors, counterproductive work behaviors, and abusive supervision. He has recently finished up an internship at the Laboratory for Analytic Sciences. James recently received his Masters, defending his thesis which focused on worker wellbeing.

Emma Carew

Ph.D. Student

Emma recently earned her bachelors in both Psychology and Exercise Science from Campbell University. She is particularly interested in military psychology, and selection processes. Emma has worked on research at Campbell relating to dating and hookup culture.

Sirish Shrestha

Ph.D. Student

Sirish recently began his I/O Psychology Ph.D. studies at North Carolina State. He is a Data Scientist at the Center for Creative Leadership. Sirish has particular experience with statistics and working with the higher education at West Virginia University.

Asa Beale

Undergraduate Researcher

Asa Beale is a junior at North Carolina State pursuing a degree in psychology with a minor in business administration. Asa’s research interests are geared toward dark personalities and destructive leadership. He is currently working on a study involving subordinate perceptions of destructive leadership along side Luke.
